Difficulty: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate

Techniques Involved: Applying fusible interfacing, sewing a zipper, sewing in hardware, sewing box corners, machine or hand stitching a hole closed.

All files are PDF files that can be printed at home on Letter or A4 sized paper.

Suggested Fabric:You’ll need 1/4yd (23cm) of 42” (107cm) wide light to medium weight woven fabric for the outer and the same for the lining.

You’ll also need 1/3 yard (31cm) of 20” (51cm) wide light to medium weight fusible interfacing.

Notions:

One 9” zipper

One 1” wide d ring

One 1” wide hook

Additional Supplies:

  • Pins or Clips
  • Tape Measure
  • Tape or Glue (For piecing pages together.)
  • Paper & Fabric Scissors
  • Matching Polyester Thread
  • Universal Needle
  • Sewing Machine
  • Iron & Ironing Board or Mat
  • Rotary Cutter, Mat, and Acrylic Ruler (optional)
  • Marking Pen
  • Zipper Foot

Finished Dimensions:

8.5” wide x 6.5” tall x 2” deep at the base
